Fred – Lead ToT (Trainer of Trainers)
A dedicated vanilla and cocoa farmer, Fred has been with the Keynjojo Cooperative since the early days. As a certified Trainer of Trainers (ToT), he leads sessions in agroforestry, vanilla husbandry, and sustainable farming practices, mentoring a group of farmers within his community.
Fred doesn’t just teach — he lives what he teaches. His father and brother are also vanilla farmers, and together they’ve created a family legacy rooted in farming with integrity and care.
In 2024, Fred was proudly named Farmer of the Season, a recognition of his hard work, consistency, and the inspiration he provides to others.
When he’s not in the field, Fred serves his community as a full-time teacher at the local primary school, proving that leadership can take many forms — and that true impact comes from both the classroom and the farm.

Emmaniel - ToT
Emmanuel may be young, but he’s leading by example.
At just 28, he’s already built a thriving agroforestry farm, blending vanilla, cocoa, and timber trees on just under two acres of land. He joined the cooperative in 2022 and quickly became known for his curiosity, discipline, and commitment to quality.
Emmanuel is mentored by Fred and now trains younger members on vanilla pollination and harvest timing. He’s especially passionate about soil regeneration and often experiments with new composting and mulching techniques — then shares his findings with the group.
His dream? To become one of the cooperative’s youngest elected leaders — and to show that farming is a future, not a fallback.

Annet - ToT
Annet is a powerhouse of knowledge and dedication.
A long-time member of the cooperative, she plays a key role as a Trainer of Trainers (ToT), guiding farmers on organic cocoa practices, pest control, and income diversification. Her sessions are known for being both practical and inspiring, helping members improve their yields while staying true to the co-op’s values.
Annet is also a respected leader in her Rural Producer Organization (RPO), where she supports group coordination and ensures that new members are onboarded with care.
Beyond the cooperative, Annet is a passionate advocate for women in agriculture, encouraging more women to take up leadership roles and secure land for farming. Her vision? A cooperative where everyone has a voice — and a viable livelihood.
